Hampden Township Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP)

Engineering Activities:
Grove Miller Engineering, Inc., as the Township Traffic Engineer, was requested by the Township Board of Commissioners to prepare a TIP in order to assess the current roadway network, identify deficiencies, and provide a prioritized list of improvement projects to address the problems. Traffic engineering and transportation planning activities included collecting traffic data, developing future design year traffic projections, analyzing future design year traffic demands, conducting accident analyses, performing corridor assessments, recommending intersection, corridor and traffic control improvements; prioritizing recommended improvements, presenting study report results and recommendations to municipal officials, and documenting findings in a study report. A total of sixteen (16) intersections and four (4) major corridors were evaluated.
