Project Description:
Traffic analyses, needs analysis, and feasibility study of alternative alignments for the State College Eastern Inner Loop.

Engineering Activities:
Grove Miller Engineering, Inc. provided traffic engineering consultation to the study team for the assessment of future design year traffic needs and alternative roadway alignments necessary to meet the projected traffic needs. Traffic engineering activities included collecting traffic data, conducting origin-destination surveys, developing alternative roadway alignments, developing future design year traffic projections, developing roadway and intersection improvement options, analyzing future design year traffic demands, and recommending roadway and traffic control improvements. Approximately 50 intersections within the State College area were analyzed in conjunction with the Eastern Inner Loop project.
